Cosmetology licensees in Texas are required to complete 4 hours of TDLR-approved continuing education every 2 years. Your education is due before your license is renewed. The education must contain one hour of sanitation and three hours of cosmetology-related topics.
Course program that is available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week, 365 days a year, to include holidays, and can be completed at your own pace.
We will provide continuing education courses of study that meets the minimum requirements as prescribed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
Once you have completed the required course, we will report your Texas Cosmetology Continuing Education hours to TDLR within one (1) to five (5) business days. To check the completion of the course you can do so by accessing the TDLR website.
Once you start the course, it will be available for up to one (1) year. Once you complete the course, your Certificate of Completion will be good for one (1) year.
We will grant a Certificate of course completion for the applicable course when the licensee has successfully completed all required 4 hours of continuing education topics.
